Traveling to Uganda on two mission trips has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. These journeys have given me the opportunity to see, with my own eyes, the life-changing power of God’s love at work. By sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have witnessed firsthand the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in ways that words can barely capture.

From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with open arms. The people come with joy, eager hearts, and a deep hunger for God’s Word. Their smiles, their hugs, and their gratitude reflect a love that is both humbling and uplifting. We brought gifts—solar lights that chase away the darkness so families can read and study, audio Bibles for those who cannot read, soccer balls for children whose laughter fills the air, and even simple lollipops that light up their faces brighter than the sun. Each gift may seem small, but the impact is immeasurable.
The water well Global TLU provided has transformed village life—clean water now flows, improving health, saving hours of walking, and restoring dignity and hope. These acts of love are more than projects; they are seeds of transformation that remind us how deeply God cares for His children.
But here’s the greater truth: while we go to bless others, God blesses us in return. In Uganda, thousands of miles from home, I discovered the gift of stillness—time to reflect, to listen, and to live fully present with God. Surrounded by the beauty of Uganda’s people and landscape, I witnessed not just their lives being changed, but my own spirit being renewed.
Obedience to God opens the door to grace. The fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—become more alive in you. And when you return home, you carry that transformation with you, ready to pour God’s love into the lives of others.
Uganda reminds me of this eternal truth: God is love, and love always wins.
Your Brother in Christ,
Larry
