At Global Tendo La Upendo (Global TLU), we believe no one is beyond the reach of love, restoration, and purpose. Through our Prison Outreach Initiative, we bring encouragement, connection, and dignity to individuals who are incarcerated—reminding them that their story doesn’t end behind bars.
What We Do
Independently and in partnership with other prison ministry organizations, Global TLU visits those incarcerated locally, nationally, and globally. Our mission is to provide hope and inspire the belief that life after incarceration can be meaningful, productive, and filled with purpose.

Through partnerships with two local Texas prisons, we host a heartwarming event called Family Day—a deeply meaningful time of reconnection and restoration. Families enjoy:

For just a few precious hours, families are able to experience togetherness in a way that feels normal, joyful, and full of grace—a reminder of what waits for them on the other side of the walls.Laughter replaces silence, and tears give way to healing. Children see their parents not as inmates, but as mom or dad. These moments bring hope that relationships can be restored. Family Day reminds us that love always makes room—even behind bars.
