Around the world, millions of families live in darkness each night. Without electricity, simple tasks like cooking, studying, or walking safely after sundown become daily challenges. At Global Tendo La Upendo (Global TLU), we’re changing that—one solar light at a time.
Through powerful partnerships and community engagement, we bring clean, reliable solar lighting to underserved villages, giving families not just light—but hope, safety, and opportunity.
What We Do
We distribute solar-powered core flex lights to households that lack electricity, giving them a safe and sustainable source of light.
We work with trusted local partners-like BioLite- to ensure solar lights are delivered with purpose and care.
To date over 2,500 individuals in Uganda, Africa now have access to light because of Global TLU’s Light the Way initiative.
We provided solar lights to several rural schools, and the students' academic performance has improved by 20%.
We have eliminated the use of kerosene lamps and other unsafe lighting sources with a cleaner alternative for light.
Real Impact: Uganda 2025 Mission
In partnership with BioLite, we served over 200 households in Uganda by providing solar lights. These lights have empowered families by—lighting up homes, classrooms, and hearts.
